It can be boring to stay at home and be paranoid to go out because of the pandemic. It is understandable and it’s best just to stay at home as much as possible. However, it can be overwhelming just to stay at home when you are in the Land of the Gods where there are so many beautiful places to see.

Pandemic is still here but that doesn’t mean you cannot go out and unwind a little because again, Bali has so many things to offer as long as you do not forget the most important things, always follow the health protocol such as always wear a mask, wash your hands often or use hand sanitizer and always do social distancing.

Where to travel safely in Bali during the pandemic?

Do not need to be busy looking for the best places to release your boredom, because we have collected Here, we have listed some places that you can visit while in Bali during the pandemic.

Jatiluwih Rice Terrace

From Canggu to Jatiluwih Rice terrace, it’s about an hour to an hour and a half drive up from Canggu, depending on traffic and whether you ride a motorbike or go by car. The length of time to travel from Ubud to Jatiluwih rice terrace is about the same, an hour and a half.

The Jatiluwih Rice Terrace entrance fee is 40,000 rupiah per person. Also, you won’t be asked for donations at different areas of the rice field.

When planning a trip to Jatiluwih there are two things to take into consideration, the time of day and the time of year. Although you can visit the rice terraces at any time of year, if you visit during the rainy season then you’re more likely to get randomly rained on in the middle of the day. Bali’s rainy season is typically early November to the end of March, with torrential downpours more likely to occur in the afternoon.

What to bring during your trip? You’ll still want to make sure you have plenty of water. There are several shops and a couple of warungs around the rice terrace, so you can pick up a bottle or better yet, grab a coconut to keep you hydrated!

Banyumala Waterfall

It took 1 hour 40 minutes to drive from Canggu to Banyumala Waterfall. And 1 hour 30 minutes drive from Ubud to Banyumala Waterfall.

The Banyumala Waterfall entrance fee is 20,000 rupiah per person not including the parking price.

What to do: On your way there, you will find a lot of beautiful scenery such as hills, Bedugul, Beratan Lake, Buyan Lake, Tamblingan Lake. You can also buy fresh vegetables and pick strawberries.

In Banyumala you can bring a change of clothes because you cannot resist the temptation to splash around the freshness of Banyumala Waterfall.

Surfing in Batu Bolong

The wave is perfect for beginners as they have time to adjust their position, correct their mistakes and also enjoy the ride.

Batu Bolong is a great break for beginner to intermediate surfers located at the end of Jl. Pantai Batu Bolong, Canggu. There is car parking in front of the beach costing 5000 for a car and 3000 for a bike, although be careful about leaving your belongings inside your bike compartment as thefts have occurred there.

Surf rental is located in the car park and runs daily from 6am to 7pm. Cost of board rental is 50k for 2 hours. Chilled drinks, coconuts and barbequed corn can be bought from one of the many stands lining the beach. Additionally there is a great warung to the right of the car park, which is perfectly located to sip a few bintangs whilst watching the sunset. You can also grab some drinks nearby.

Sunset at Tanah Lot

Even though Bali has a lot of beautiful places to watch the sunset. The iconic sunset in Tanah Lot is still worth seeing.

It took a 20 minutes ride from Canggu to Tanah Lot by car or motorbike. It took 1 hour from Ubud to Tanah Lot.

Sunset time in Tanah Lot temple usually from 5.30 PM to 6.40 PM depends on the position of the sun. The entrance fee price for adults is 60,000 rupiah per person, for children is 30,000 rupiah per person not including the parking fee.

Swimming in Melasti Beach

The best beach in south Bali. It took 1 hour 45 minutes to ride from Ubud to Melasti beach and 1 hour rides from Kuta to Melasti beach, and about 21 km south of Ngurah Rai airport or 45 minutes.

The entrance fee for adults is 10,000 rupiah per person and for children is 5,000 rupiah per person.

Melasti beach almost looks similar to Pandawa beach due to the landscape of how they are located in between the cliffs. It just attracts many tourist’s heart since the beach offers the white long coast, wide horizontal line view and great view from the top of the limestone hill.

Another Amazing Sunset on Balian Beach

When you arrive at the Balian beach area in Tabanan regency, Bali, you will see a solitary atmosphere. Also, a black sand beach, and regions around the beach still in the form of rice fields, coconut trees, and grassy fields. If you are fortunate, you will also see the residents herding cattle in the grass field area. This type of atmosphere is what many travelers like to find when they have a vacation to Bali which reflects the Bali atmosphere during the ’80s.

Most visitors who have a vacation to Balian beach in Tabanan like to take a walk on the beach shoreline. Also, some visitors love to sit back while waiting for the sunset and do water sports such as surfing activities.

If you want to have a snack and drinks while sitting and relaxing on the beach, it’s a good idea to bring food and drinks from outside. You can buy food and drinks at the mini market that you find when you travel to Balian beach.

Diving in Tulamben

Tulamben is one of the most famous diving areas in Bali. Tulamben is a varied destination and suitable for all levels of divers. Depth 5-30 meters.

Diving in Tulamben must include the Liberty! The USAT Liberty wreck at Tulamben is considered one of the best wreck dives in the world. With the wreck extending 120m in length and beginning at just 3m, it runs to 30m deep. The mysterious wreck has an incredible history and is a must-see in Bali.

This spectacular dive site is home to some 400 species of reef fish and it is covered in stunning coral.

Watching dolphin in Lovina

The roadside and parking area before the site is lined with various art and souvenir shops and refreshment kiosks. The pool, excavated in 1954, features 5 out of supposedly 7 statues depicting Hindu angels holding vases that act as waterspouts.

As with any temple visit in Bali, women during their periods are forbidden entrance and wearing a sarong and waist sash is mandatory. These are available for rent at the entrance.

Camping in Asah Hill

There are so many good spots for camping in Bali. One of the best camping grounds in Bali is Bukit Asah. Located in the Karangasem regency, there are so many things to see here! You will be surprised by how beautiful the scenery is on your way to Bukit Asah.

It took 1 hour 47 minutes from Canggu to Bukit Asah, 1 hour 27 minutes from Denpasar, 1 hour 36 minutes from Airport. You can rent a tent for 4 people for about 150,000 per night.

The facilities available are very complete, such as pillows, mattresses, public kitchens, toilets, security posts, chairs and tables, and firewood for campfires. So, if you want to camp at Asah Hill Bali, visitors don’t have to bother bringing their own tents and equipment.
